The WKWSCI Spotlight Awards aims to celebrate and recognise the outstanding work, creativity and spirit of excellence demonstrated by students and alumni alike, across the diverse and dynamic field of communication and information.
This year, the Awards will be streamed on Facebook Live (@wkwsci) on August 29, 8pm.
Nominations are open now until Sunday, 14 June 2020, at 2359hrs.
All current undergraduate and postgraduate students of WKWSCI are eligible for the following award categories.

Special Recognition Awards
The WKWSCI Special Recognition Award (Service) acknowledges students who have contributed extensively to the well-being of the student body.
The WKWSCI Special Recognition Award (Spirit) acknowledges students who embody the true spirit of a WKWSCI student.
The WKWSCI Vanguard Awards celebrate and recognise the creativity, effort and talent of WKWSCI students through their works.
This award recognises the student whose work has demonstrated innovation in a particular field or topic of interest.
This award recognises the student whose work has demonstrated the spirit of a risk-taker and sought to challenge the status quo.
This award recognises the student whose work has demonstrated exemplary artistic style and aesthetic appeal that are significant and/or fresh.
People’s Choice Awards
Awarded to the student whose submission garners the highest number of votes, regardless of category.

This year, the annual Alumni Awards are part of the larger WKWSCI Spotlight Awards.
First introduced in 2017, the WKWSCI Alumni Awards aim to recognise some of the incredible accomplishments our alumni have gone on to achieve.

Emerging Star Awards
This award recognises meritorious achievements of alumni in the early stages of their career.
This award recognises alumni whose achievements influence society, industry or a social cause.
