Research, Teaching & Professional Experience

Xinran is currently a PhD candidate in Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information. Prior to this, Xinran obtained her Master’s degree in Information Studies from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore; and Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Sun Yat-Sen University, China. Xinran is pursuing her research in the area of everyday-life information behavior on social media, specifically on addressing the spreading of misinformation, under the supervision of Dr. Joanna Sin and Dr. Theng Yin Leng.
