Cao Yuanyuan is a PhD candidate at Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She has a law degree and a Juris Master specialized in administrative law from the law school of Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China. Her research interest is in the area of media policy and law. Her current research is focused on comparative media policy in small emerging democracies of Bhutan, Timor-Leste and the former Yugoslav republics of Slovenia and Macedonia.
