This Postdoctoral Fellowship offers new scholars the opportunity to develop research publications, hone their teaching, and network with academics, as it serves as a bridge between the scholars’ doctoral training and their entry into faculty careers. Up to two years of support is given to recent PhD graduates who demonstrate outstanding promise in research and teaching in their fields of study.
Applicants are required to propose a research project, to be carried out during their term as Postdoctoral Fellows. The research project should be in a topic that is of interest to one or more of the Schools within the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (CoHASS).
A. Health and Society: Healthcare issues from humanistic and social scientific perspectives
The areas under the Health and Society theme include but are not limited to health communication, health literacy, health promotion and topics pertaining to community and societal issues in public health.

C. Digital Art, Humanities, and Social Sciences
For this Theme, preference will be given to candidates with some programming experience, especially Python and open-source methodologies.
- Applicants must possess a doctoral degree issued no more than three (3) years prior to the time of application (i.e. the degree must have been obtained after Jan 1, 2016). Candidates who are finishing up their degrees must have their doctoral degrees conferred by July 2019.
- Applicants are advised to explore the research interests of the College’s faculty members to identify potential faculty Mentors. You must state the Research Theme that you are applying for on the Application Form and demonstrate in your research plan how your expertise crosses different disciplines and relates to the Theme you are applying for.
Please request for reference letters to be prepared by at least two referees which should be submitted by the application deadline of 30 November 2018 (11:59pm Singapore Time).
