Student Life

CI Club

The Communication & Information Club (CI Club) is the official student club that represents and serves the student body of the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication & Information, Nanyang Technological University. The CI Club also enhances the vibrant school culture at WKWSCI, organising events and activities for the students to enjoy.

Message from the club:

Recognized globally as one of the best Communications schools, there are many things that WKWSCI prides itself on.

Yet, the thing that truly makes us special is our strong culture. The Communication and Information (CI) Club ensures that year after year, each student is guaranteed the best student life experience that we can offer.

With a myriad of events organized throughout each semester, the CI club creates a vibrant student experience. From large scale events like Halloween, where stage games, buffets and performances are featured, to smaller get-togethers such as Valentine’s Night Jam Session, there is always an occasion to celebrate our diversity and our people.

Our biggest event, Communications Studies Week, rounds up the academic year of student achievements, successes and events.

The CI Club caters to the dynamic wants and needs of the study body. Theme Week was created to encourage creative expression through dressing, while WeeProvide, a snack provision programme, fuels students through long periods of studying. The popularity and positive reception of these two events motivates the committee to keep striving to better our student-centric programs.

The club also has an additional leg which fosters the culture of the school, in the form of four ad-hoc committees. They include the Freshmen Orientation Programme, Dinner and Dance, Paparazzi Theatre Production, and WeeTrip Overseas Community Involvement Programme. These ad-hoc committees give students a chance to lead and execute events that involve months of hard work and planning. Together with the CI Club, these ad-hoc committees exist to foster strong bonds within the student body and every year they are greeted with rousing enthusiasm.

With student life and welfare at the core of all its operations, the CI club will continue to create meaningful and fulfilling experiences for all throughout the academic year.
