Minor in Communication Studies


(revised with effect from AY2017/2018)
The Minor in Communication Studies is open to all students in NTU except students from the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI). 

Students must fulfill at least 15AUs to be awarded the minor. 
To be awarded a Minor in Communication Studies, students must complete two compulsory courses (6AUs), and three electives (minimum 9AUs) from any of the three broad specialisations of Broadcast and Cinema Studies, Communication Research and Information Analytics, and Advertising and Public Relations.  The courses for Minor in Communication Studies are read as Unrestricted Electives (UE).
The revised curriculum for the Minor in Communication Studies will be applicable for non-WKW students who take up the minor from AY2017/2018 Semester 1 onwards.

*For students who wish to register for CS0201 and/or CS0209, you will need to register / place this course on your waitlist during course registration and fill up the course request form at this link. Do note that this does not guarantee that you will be registered for the course(s) as it is subjected to course vacancies. For those who are not registered for the courses this semester, please try again in the subsequent semesters.

Important note: 

 - Minor students may clear a maximum of two CS courses (excluding compulsory courses) on their
   exchange programme

 - Students are not allowed to exercise the S/U option for courses that count towards the minor requirements
