1. Detailed PC Specifications / Software Installed

2. Windows Login - Network Domain

You may use your network username and password to login.

1. Press Control + Alt + Delete

2. Enter “staff\” or “student\”, followed by your username, within the first textbox and your password in the other textbox. Click on the arrow button to logon.

3. Logging off from PC Session

At the end of your lecture presentation, remember to log out.

This can be done by clicking on the icon shown below on the PC desktop. There is no need to shut down the system unless you are conducting the last teaching session of that day.



Important: It is very important for you to log off your PC session after your lecture. This is because any unauthorized person can continue to use the session; (s)he will have access to your networked resources (e.g., emails, network files, StaffLink applications, etc.).

4. Shutting Down the PC

If you need to shut down the PC, please click on this image icon shown on the PC desktop.



Kindly ensure that the PC is completely shut-down before you leave the lab.

5. User Profile Creation

Please note that it is normal for the PC to take between 2 to 3 minutes to create your user profile whenever you logon to the instructor's PC.

6. Writing and Protecting the System Drive

All the instructor PCs are installed with workstation protection software against malware and malicious users to ensure it will operate smoothly and reliably. Any files that is saved on the system drive will be removed upon system reboot or power on.

7. Request for Additional Software Installation

If the software you need for teaching is not found in the above list, please email the Manager and SCI Support your request one week ahead of your class.

8. Lab PC Housekeeping

Please be informed that we will be performing system housekeeping on all PCs during the Jun and Dec term breaks and archive any document that you may have on PC.

9. Technicial Support

Should you encounter any problems with the PC, please contact the relevant technical support personnel in charge.
