The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at Nanyang Technological University is widely regarded as one of the top schools in communication and information in Asia. The School undertakes research actively in a wide range of areas, with two broad domains of research:

• Communication-related areas focus on understanding the impact and trends of new communication technologies and communication within specialized and diverse communities and groups (e.g. Internet applications and use, political/corporate/social/educational impact of blogs, exploring context/content/culture sensitive issues, digital wellness, digital divide, safety, regulations, security, healthcare, etc.).
• Information-related areas focus on developing and evaluating advanced interactive, ubiquitous information systems (e.g. e-learning systems, educational and social games, archives, blogs, portals/digital libraries for education, healthcare, arts and fashion, media works of artists/authors/poets, etc.)
