The west side is filled with food places that offer an array of delicious local food. From Teochew porridge to Roti prata; if you crave it, you got it!
1. Canteen 4 Western Food

If you are craving for good western food, drop by canteen 4 located beside the Chinese Heritage Centre. The store serves “foodporn” worthy dishes such as sambal pasta, and crispy fish and chips accompanied with sambal mayonnaise sauce that takes it to the next level. Truffle fries and mashed potatoes are musttry side dishes.

Cheong Chin Nam Road is a MUST-GO when you are in the West. The street is aligned with a variety of cuisines, including Indian, Western, and Chinese. You’ll never fall short of a decent meal when you visit this eatery haven. Unfortunately, easily accessible and it will be best to travel there by car. Then again, the food is definitely worth the journey, however arduous.

‘Ah Lian beehoon’ was a title coined by NTU students to refer to the beehoonnazi of the stall. The reason behind the name was due to the shop owner’s fiesty demeanor, but don’t let that scare you though! Their beehoon is definitely worth a shot, and it is also reasonably priced.

The standard $2.50 set includes:
beehoon + a fried egg + a chicken wing.
